Transactions that Matter.
A few things happened in May. A quickfire review here:
- SC Capital seems to be making true on its premise to buy in Seoul with New Blanc Central Hotel in the eastern part of Myeongdong.
- Singapore boutique hotels as shop house conversions continue to be popular with Coliwoo Hotel Gay World and Duxton Reserve Singapore. This follows the landmark transaction of 21 Carpenter earlier on.
- Blackrock and Weave teamed up together again, taking over the Momentus Serviced Residences Novena.
- Is China picking up momentum yet? Hyatt Regency in Tianjin may be the first of many deals to come in the years ahead, though pricing is likely still aggressive.
- As one of the few transactions in Malaysia, the leased fee interest in the Banyan Tree KL transacted at a quasi 7% yield with guarantee.
- Also subject to a lease, the Four Points at Seoul Station was picked up by KB Asset from Macquarie Group.
